Scientific description
Commonly available in almost all the season. The butterfly has bright orange colour with eye spots on the upper side of the wings. There are two colour patters found on underside of the wings based on the season. In dry season, the underside of the wings appears pale dark in colour resembling a dry leaf. In wet season, the underside of the wing has bands and eyes less colourful than the upper side of the wings.
